How much do I need to retire early in Malaysia?

Divide your annual expenses by the yearly return you expect on your investment assets. If you spend RM5,500 a month (RM66,000 a year) and your investments earn 2.5% in fixed deposits, you need about RM2.64 million. At a 5% return, you need about RM1.32 million.
